About us

Its All About You was established in 2011 by Max Cohen to enable people in Devon to find LGBTQ+ -affirmative counsellors. We (David & Tina) were listed with the resource and when Max decided to move on from It’s All About You in 2018, were honoured to be entrusted with it.

We are delighted to be further developing this valuable resource, and passionate about its value for both LGBT+ clients and for the professionals who work with them.

We are Tina Hill-Art and David Humeniuk.  We are counsellors, supervisors and trainers and are registered members of the BACP.   We have worked in our individual private practices in Devon for several years and have both managed low-cost counselling services for third sector organisations.

We have worked in partnership since 2014, developing and delivering training to well-being practitioners and organisations on a variety of subjects.  Central to this is our three-day certificate course in working with diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity aimed at well-being professionals.

We also jointly manage STUDIO one therapy hub*, a venue for therapy and wellbeing services in Devon.

Our working lives and lived experience have provided us both with a broad understanding of the particular needs of LGBT+ people and their loved ones – and especially so in relation to the provision of therapeutic/wellbeing services.  We share a passionate commitment to minimising barriers and maximising access to LGBTQ+ affirmative services.

Our aim for It’s All About You Wellbeing is for it to become a resource which:

  • Enables LGBTQ+ people to access wellbeing services that are delivered appropriately to meet their particular needs

  • Supports practitioners in their professional development – through training, supervision, mentoring and networking

  • Serves the LGBTQ+ population and the therapy/well-being practitioners supporting them throughout Southwest England
